SEI Correspondents Meeting Stockholm 2016

SEI Facts and Figures

Structural Engineering International (SEI) started supporting Open Access—both Gold and Green, options. Upon request, corresponding authors can now avail the option of having their SEI published paper accessible online to public for free. In 2016, SEI also added a new ‘Author Template’, developed by SPI Global which can be downloaded from IABSE’s website for all SEI submissions. SEI in 2017 features ‘Recent Structures and Research in Canada’ in February, and will feature ‘Timber’ in May, ‘Forensics’ in August ‘Recent Research and Structures’ in the November issue. More..

Dan Frangopol, USA,  was elected as a Foreign Member of the Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts. He will participate in and contribute to the class of Technical Sciences. More..

Ian Firth, UK, is the new President of The Institution of Structural Engineers’. He gave his inaugural address 'Going for Gold in a Changing World' at the HQ of IStructe in London, on January 12, 2017. A world leading expert in bridge design and construction, he is Director of COWI (UK). At IABSE he chairs the British Group and is currently chairing the Scientific Committee of the IABSE Conference Bath 2017.
