Dear Members of IABSE,

We trust that you and your families are all in good health and are coping well in this current situation.

Last week, many governments declared 'Lockdown' to slow and stop the spread of Covid-19 pandemic. It is clear that this unprecedented situation has swept the world and bringing it to a standstill and has extraordinarily affected all our lives.

Resonating the expert's recommendations, we should all remain calm, practice social distancing and stay healthy. You have probably been watching the news and following social media to keep yourself abreast of the situation, so there's no need for us to reiterate on this.

Unfortunately, events around the globe have been postponed, rescheduled or cancelled for the safety of the public. We hope that the united efforts of our governments, scientists and medical experts to fight against Covid-19, will be successful in eradicating this virus soon.

To serve you better, we decided to update our Calendar of Events page to provide a one-stop page, providing all the updates and changes to all IABSE related events webpages at www.iabse.org/events.

In particular, the upcoming IABSE Symposium Wroclaw 2020 scheduled on 20-22 May 2020, has now been rescheduled to take place on 7-9 October 2020. To receive the most recent development on this symposium, we encourage you to visit the website regularly and signup to the Organising Committee’s free mailing list.

Thank you, stay safe and well!

Chep Uytiepo
IABSE, Executive Director
