Bishop Emeritus David Ritt – was installed as Trinity's fourth pastor in 1978 and served as President/Bishop of the English District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod from 1997-2006. Last year, he celebrated his 50th anniversary of his ordination with us at Trinity.
Pastor Steve Wagner - serves as the Senior Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Lombard, Illinois. He joined Trinity as an Associate Pastor in March of 2015 and became the Senior Pastor in October of 2015. He is originally from Houston, Texas, and is a 2009 graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Nursery School

The preschool is very quiet these days! We miss the families and want to keep in touch during the closure. One small way we are staying connected is by sending out birthday cards and stickers to the students who we don't get to celebrate with in person.

In September we assembled a small packet of learning materials for our preschool and pre-kindergarten families to work on at home. It was so wonderful to see many of the families who were able to pick up their packets! Those unable to make the pickup time had the packet delivered to their home. Our Early Learner families received an email with information on the value of play and some ideas of how they can facilitate learning in their own child's play.

In October we will be collecting small pumpkins (pie pumpkin sized). We hope to provide each child, early learners through pre-K, with one pumpkin along with some pumpkin exploration ideas. We will be collecting pumpkins in the Narthex from October 11th-20th.

Operation Barnabas

Operation Barnabas is hosting a support group for veterans, police officers, firefighter, and EMTs which meets Wednesdays from 7 - 8 pm in the Trinity Center

It is preceded by the Growing in Prayer prayer group which meets from 6:30 - 7 pm and is led by Stephen Boudro.

Trinity's financial support of Operation Barnabas provides books, signage, advertisement and other things for the resource room and support group.

All are welcome at these meetings. The Lutheran Women Missionary League wishes to thank you for your contributions.

Dorcas Guild

Dorcas Guild will meet October 6th at 7:00 pm in the Trinity Center. All ladies are invited.

Dorcas is collecting paper and personal care products for the Lombard Food Pantry. Please help us fill the box with: soaps, toothpaste, toothbrushes, toilet paper, tissues, shampoo, razors (for men), shave gel
or any personal hygiene items. The box will be in the church till October 18th.

Adopt-A-Student

Adopt a student donations will now include support for our Trinity seminarian, Jackson Scofield, at Concordia Seminary -Ft. Wayne. We will continue to honor our 2020-2021 commitment to Nicholas Wagenknecht at Concordia Seminary –St. Louis.
