Close the Gap/Build the Future &

1% Spiritual Challenge

Due to generous donations from our members and sponsors, we have exceeded 4 x's our goal for a grand total of $40,225!!  If you donated via Facebook, please be on the lookout in the coming weeks for an email from them saying your donation was matched.  This email will go to the individual donor and if you get this confirmation email, we request that you send yours to Margaret (margaret@trinityvp.com).

This achievement shows the commitment of our church to remain a supportive family and to continue doing God's work in our community.  Our prayer for 2021 is that we will spread this good stewardship throughout the entire year.

Remember that Stewardship is also about donating your Time and Talents.  Right now, this pandemic has everyone really down.  Please take this time to reach out to people you haven't seen in awhile.  If you need ideas, Donna Heuser can help (heuser.donna@gmail.com).

As for our 1% Challenge, thank you to everyone participating.  Please check out the table in the Narthex for materials that Marna has put out for spiritual growth.  If you really enjoy something you are reading, please share with each other.

As always, here are ways to donate to Trinity:

Thanks again to everyone for your generous support!  With our donations of time, money and talent, 2021 is sure to be a wonderful and successful year!

Trinity Christian Nursery School

Many thanks to the congregation for supporting our Fannie May fundraiser.  TCNS made almost $300 which will be used to purchase supplies to support our preschool program.  We are staying hopeful that we will have children back at school in mid-January.

This month TCNS will be providing each enrolled child with a fun seasonal packet.  It will include gingerbread activities, some Christmas crafts, and of course activities to teach the story of Jesus's birth.  We love seeing the families when they come to pick up their materials and have been told the children love seeing us too!  It is wonderful to keep these connections during this difficult time apart and to know we are bringing a little joy to our preschoolers.

LCEF News

During this Christmas time, instead of giving the children in your life something that is likely to lose its luster and be relegated to the bottom of the closet this time next year, why not give them a gift that teaches the value of saving and good stewardship?

By gifting children an LCEF YI (Young Investor’s) account, you can teach them the value of saving for self and investing in community. Every YI investor gets a 2% interest rate up to $1,000 and can earn up to $50/year for things like volunteering and good grades. What a blessing it is to teach our children the value of saving and investing, not to mention the joy and excitement of earning money for doing the things we all want to encourage our children to do!

Contact your LCEF DVP Daniel Lepley by email Daniel.lepley@lcef.org or learn more at https://lcef.org/young-investors-club/.
